Advanced Portfolio- Digipak

In today's lesson we started to look at digipaks. I will have to make my own individual digipak for my band and music video. A digipak is a promotion package for the release of a album to include a music video promo, a cover for its release as part of a digipak and a magazine advertisement for the digipak.

what is a digipak? A digipak contains a CD and booklet in a cardboard casing with a booklet of songs. Why would a record label choose to release a digipak rather than a CD in a jewel case? Because a jewel case is made of plastic and therefor can crack and get damaged. The are also more interesting the way you can unfold the pack and is more interactive, also it make the person feel like there is more inside. What are the codes and conventions? Front cover, back cover, spine,institution logo, name of the artist or band, names of songs.
